Hobby 1h30

In a cheerful and confident atmosphere, sing together, explore your voice and go further by relying on the group’s momentum.
Refine your awareness of your body, breath and breathing to sing better.
Approach “vocal technique” in a playful way and to become familiar with the first theoretical bases (for example by using a score).
Approach vocalization and other vocal exercises.
Getting used to improvisation and circle song, to improve vocal performance and musicality, to be more present, more relaxed and freer.
Deepen the work on stage by paying attention to the way of singing with a microphone, of moving. Learning to develop one’s relationship with the group and the public, and interaction with the accompanying musician and the sound engineer.
Broaden their knowledge of the repertoire (different styles, different languages) through a selection of songs alternating between the students’ choice and the teacher’s choice. Group and polyphonic songs, solos and duets possible.
Beginning of work at home (vocal practice and memorization work).

2 concerts per year (accompaniment by musician), with also the possibility to participate in Catalyse’s open stages, upon registration.

Centred on the voice and its transformative powers, Catalyse has been developing for more than 15 years a holistic model aiming at “happy creativity”, a transversal capacity favouring the creative impulse, the development of the individual and the well-being of the whole. We insist on group practice, because it is inspiring, motivating and favours the progression of each individual. Working on your voice in a group is about improving your vocal skills while having fun and learning, with and from others, while developing a range of social and behavioural skills useful on stage and in life.
