In a friendly atmosphere, students sing together and explore their voice.
They refine their awareness of the body, breath, breathing and approach vocalization and other vocal exercises.
Vocal technique is approached in a playful way, and the students become familiar with the first theoretical bases (for example by using a score).
They get used to improvisation and the Circle Song, to improve their vocal performance, their musicality, to be more present, more relaxed, freer.
The work on stage is deepened by focusing on how to sing with a microphone and how to move. It is a learning process that allows students to develop their relationship with the group and the public, as well as their interactions with the accompanying musician and the sound engineer.
They broaden their knowledge of the repertoire (different styles, different languages) through a selection of songs alternating between the students’ choice and the teacher’s choice. Group and polyphonic singing, solos and duets are possible.
Vocal practice and memorization work are to be done at home.
CONCERT
1 concert / year possible (accompanied by a musician), with also the possibility to participate in the open mics of Catalyse, upon registration.
