La chanson « A gift for life » a été écrite et composée par le collectif Catalyse à l’occasion du First World Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, organisé à Genève le 14 octobre 2005. Elle a été interprétée en public pour la première fois à la cérémonie d’inauguration de cette journée, par la chorale d’enfants de Catalyse SIMPLY CAT.
